Why this service?
Sometimes you don't need a solicitor yet. You need clarity first.
The internet contains an enormous amount of legal and rights information. Very little of it is written for the person actually living through the situation.
This is a human, personalised information and rights-guidance service. It does not replace Citizens Advice, and it does not replace a solicitor. It is another option for people who want focused, one-to-one help understanding the information relevant to their situation.
What people usually struggle with
- Which information is relevant to your situation
- What the terminology actually means
- Which procedure applies to you
- What information or evidence you need
- What your possible next steps are
Knowing where to go
When you may need an authorised professional
A solicitor or other authorised adviser is likely to be more appropriate where you need:
If your situation falls outside the scope of Legara Rights, we will encourage you to seek assistance from an appropriately authorised professional or organisation.
- Individual legal advice
- Legal representation
- Court or tribunal representation
- Formal legal documents or opinions
- Conduct of litigation
- Reserved legal services
- Regulated immigration advice
Service boundaries
What we do not provide
- Provide legal advice
- Give formal legal opinions
- Act as your solicitor
- Represent you
- Conduct litigation
- Represent you in court or tribunals
- Provide regulated immigration advice unless separately authorised
- Guarantee an entitlement, claim or outcome
